Amazon.com To Lose Board Member Doerr

Seattle-based Amazon.com is losing long time board member and venture capitalist L. John Doerr, the firm reported in an SEC filing Tuesday. According to the filing, Doerr informed Amazon.com that he would not stand for re-election to its board as of the firm's 2010 Annual Meeting. No reason for the withdrawal was given. Doerr has been on Amazon's board since 1996.
