Blue Origin Gets $3.7M From NASA
Kent, Washington-based Blue Origin, the commercial space flight company started by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, has received $3.7M in a grant from NASA, as part of a $50M funding effort by the agency to further commercial spaceflight. NASA said the grants are aimed at making commercial provided services the primary mode of astronaut transportation to the International Space Station. The funds come from the American Recovery and Revinvestment Act of 2009.
