Zillow Claims Record Web Traffic

Seattle-based real estate site Zillow.com is claiming this morning that it has broke "multiple" web traffic and user activity records in 2009, saying it saw an average of 8.2 million unique visitors to its site each month during the year. The firm said it had a 37 percent, year-to-year growth in page views, 43 percent more for-sale, rental, and "Make Me Move" listings on the site, and over 870,000 downloads of its iPhone app, among other growth measures. Zillow also said that it had 550,000 loan requests on its mortgage marketplace last year, although the firm did not say how that compared with prior years.
