Trumba Wins Smithsonian Museum

Seattle-based Trumba, a developer of online event publishing and calendar tools, said Tuesday that the Smithsonian Institute has deployed the firm's product on its web site. Size of the win was not disclosed. Trumba said that the Smithsonian is using its Truma Connect software to list workshops, IMAX film events, event series, and more. Trumba's software helps online sites publish calendars of events and other listings, and enables users to import those events to ther services like Microsoft Outlook, Facebook, Apple's iCal, and other services. Trumba is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, August Capital and Oak Investment Partners.
