Spiration Gets $7M

Seattle-based Spiration, a maker of medical devices for treating emphysema, has raised $7M in a convertible debt round, according to a regulatory filing. According to reports, the funding came from Olympus Medical Systems. Spiration is backed by Interwest Partners, Investor Growth Capital Ltd., New Enterprise Associates, Olympus Medical Systems, Sprout Group, Three Arch Partners, Versant Ventures, Sainta Capital, and others.
