Digeo Acquired by ARRIS

Georgia-based ARRIS Group said Tuesday afternoon that it has agreed to buy the assets of Kirkland, Washington-based Diego, a developer of HDTV DVRs. The deal was worth $20M in cash. ARRIS said the asset deal included Diego's intellectual property portfolio, and that it will add approximately 75 employees in Kirkland to its team. Digeo was backed by Paul Allen. ARRIS said it will continue to develop and market Digeo's current line of DVRs.
