IDT Names Advisor In Fab Sale
San Jose, California-based Integrated Device Technology (IDT), which said last week that it is shutting down its fab operations in Hillsboro, Oregon, has hired on an advisor to help it sell those facilities. According to ATREG, a division of Colliers International, it has been formally appointed as an advisor to IDT to sell the 200mm fab. ATREG said the sale includes both the operational semiconductor manufacturing facility, as well as the SMIF process tools and potentially the wafer supply agreement for the fab. ATREG is a firm specifically focused on restructuring advanced technology assets, including sale of semiconductor fabs, wafer supply agreements, process and product IP, tools lines, and other fab infrastructure. IDT's Hillsboro facility stretches over 25 acres, and includes 245,000 square foot of space, including a 50,000 square foot class 1 cleanroom.
