Confirma Acquired By Milwaukee Firm

Seattle-based Confirma, a developer of software used for helping radiologists analyze MRI and other images, has been acquired by Milkwaukee-based Merge Healthcare. Merge said the all-stock transaction is worth approximately $22M, or 5.6 million shares of the firm's publicly traded stock. Confirma's products are used for computer assisted detection of MRI images, in particular for analysis of breast and prostate MRI.
