TeachStreet Launches Payments Service, Call Tracking
Seattle-based TeachStreet, which operates a web site to help local teachers and students to connect, launched several new features of its site last night, including a payments option and new call tracking features. According to TeachStreet, it now has a feature which helps teachers collect payments and enroll students in classes, and deposits those payments via PayPal into teachers' accounts. In addition, the firm has rolled out a new call forwarding and online voicemail service for its teachers, which allows all of its teachers to have their own, 800- business phone number and unique extension. The new voicemail service is powered by Seattle-based Twilio. TeachStreet is venture backed by Madrona Ventures and Bezos Expeditions.
