CubeSpace Shuts Doors
Portland-based coworking space CubeSpace said last night that the space is closing its doors, as of Friday. According to CubeSpace, it did not have enough resources to keep the space open. The coworking space was served an order for eviction in late May, after failing to pay its rent since March. Founders David Kominsky and Eva Schweber said in a blog post that they were now looking for jobs, due to having "mountains of debt, no assets," and the possibility of personal bankruptcy. CubeSpace was a popular location for technology meetings, get-togethers, and events in the Portland area.
