Isilon Systems Chops Staff
Seattle-based data storage provider Isilon Systems announced this morning that the firm is implementing a "workforce reduction" due to revenue shortfalls at the company. According to Isilon, the firm said it will cut approximately 10 percent of its employees, saving it approximately $4.0M a year in costs. The firm announced the cuts in conjunction with preliminary results for the quarter, saying it revenues will be between $26.5M and $27.0M, down 15 to 17 percent sequentially from Q4. The firm said it saw a "significant reduction in Q1 spending across a broad range of IT market sectors."
