Redfin Debuts Partner Program, Plans Expansion

Online real estate broker Redfin reported Wednesday that it has launched a partner program and unveiled a new version of its Web site. The Seattle-based firm said more than a dozen brokerages have already enrolled in the program, the goal of which is to penetrate markets Redfin cannot afford to serve directly. Redfin, which had previously focused on major metropolitan markets, explained that a prospective partner's service area most attract at least 20,000 monthly listing views on Redfin's Web site. Redfin added that it plans to extend its coverage to seven areas in California, Washington and Illinois within the next three months.
