Zumobi Signs REI

Seattle-based Zumobi, which develops mobile widget software, has scored a major with with outdoor retailer Recreation Equiment Inc (REI). According to REI, it has rolled out a new iPhone, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile application to help users get information about conditions at ski resorts in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and elsewhere. REI said the "REI Snow Report" is a free application downloadable from its site. The application also includes access to the firm's web site, and other information. Financial impact of the win for Zumobi was not disclosed.
