Datacastle Gets $5.3M
Seattle-based data storage services provider Datacastle said Wednesday that it has raised $5.3M in a Series A investment round. The firm said that the funding was led by CM Capital Investments. Datacastle provides a PC data protection service for enterprises, targeted at helping companies back up their laptops and desktops. In conjunction with the funding, the firm said it has appointed Ronald Faith as CEO, and added Alex Knight to its board. Faith has served at Clonefone and QPass; Knight is currently CEO of Edge Labs, and has served at Microsoft, and was also a venture capitalist at ARCH Venture Partners. More information »
