Light Sciences Oncology Raises $40.1M

Bellevue-based Light Sciences Oncology, a developer of medical devices for treating cancer, announced today that it has raised $40.1M in a Series C round of funding. The company did not disclose names of the investors in this round. Light Sciences Oncology said it would use the new funding round to continue development of its products, which are targeted at treating hepatocellular carcinoma and metastatic colorectal cancer, brain cancer, and other cancers. The firm said that the funding comes on top of $97M raised in its earlier two round of financing. Leerik Swann LLC advised the firm and acted as exclusive placement agent in the financing, the firm said. More information »
