Alder Biopharmaceuticals Raises $40M

Bothell-based Alder Biopharmaceuticals said Friday morning that it has closed on $40M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Delphi Ventures and TPG Biotech, and also included prior investors Sevin Rosen Funds, Ventures West, H.I.G. Ventures, and WRF Capital. Alder said that Deepa Pakianathan of Delphi and Heather Preston of TPG will join the firm's board as part of the funding. Alder Biopharmaceuticals is developing antibodies for treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. More information »
