InfoSpace Sells Web Assets to Idearc for $225M

Bellevue-based InfoSpace Inc. has agreed to sell Switchboard.com and other online directory assets to Idearc Inc. for $225 million, Idearc announced Monday. Idearc is operator of Superpages.com and publisher of the Verizon Yellow Pages. Idearc said it is acquiring the assets to increase its organic web traffic. According to Idearc, InfoSpace's directories and resources had 7.7 million unique visitors in August. The deal includes both Infospace's online yellow and white pages.
