INRIX to Provide Microsoft with Traffic Data

Redmond, Washington-based INRIX Inc., a nationwide provider of real-time, historical and predictive traffic information, announced Wednesday that it has forged a partnership with software giant Microsoft Corp. According to INRIX, Microsoft will license INRIX's traffic data for Microsoft's online properties and desktop and mobile applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The INRIX information covers 106 metropolitan markets in the United States and United Kingdom, according to the firm. The service also includes an extensive network of real-time incident coverage from a partnership INRIX has with Clear Channel Radio's Total Traffic Network.
