LightScribe Adds Licensees
Corvallis, Oregon-based LightScribe, the hardware firm which provides technology that allows consumers to create high quality labels on their CDs and DVDs directly from their CD or DVD drives, said today that it has added twelve new licensees of its technology. The firm said that it has licensed its technology to Apricorn, Ativa, Gear Head, Sony, MESH Computers, Sony NEC Optiarc, Intenso, KODAK Media Products, and Vakoss along with Advanced Digital Research, Amtren, and Mexty Productions. The companies are using LightScribe's technology in personal computers, optical disc drives, disc publishing systems, and on optical media. LightScribe said that the new companies brings its total to over 80 licensees of its technology. LightScribe is a unit of computer giant HP.
