Airfare prediction Web site Farecast.com has concluded its beta and introduced new tools for its customers, the company reported Tuesday. The site, which claims to accurately forecast changes in airfare prices nearly 75 percent of the time, now offers Farecast Alerts, a notification service that will inform travelers of key price drops. Farecast has also introduced a flight quality filter that allows travelers to sort flights by type. Headquartered in Seattle, Farecast is a privately held company backed by Sutter Hill Ventures, Greylock Partners, Madrona Venture Group, WRF Capital and PAR Capital Management.
