Drugstore.com Unveils Smilebox Service

Online pharmacy drugstore.com announced Thursday that it has launched a digital photo and video sharing service for its customers. Developed by Smilebox Inc. and co-branded as Smilebox, the service will enable drugstore.com customers to design and distribute greeting cards, slideshows, scrapbooks and virtual stories. The service is now live at drugstore.com and is available in three pricing tiers: a free basic service, a premium service that offers more templates for one-time fees of $1.99 or $2.99, or a club-level membership that offers unlimited features and costs $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year. Drugstore.com is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. Smilebox is headquartered in Redmond, Washington and is venture backed by Frazier Technology Ventures.
