Microsoft Taps GlobeXplorer For Virtual Earth

Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft said Tuesday that it has begun updating its Virtual Earth online mapping platform with U.S. imagery from GlobeXplorer, a provider of aerial and satellite images. Microsoft said that the deal is part of its ongoing efforst to bring consumers the most up-to-date content in its Live Search Maps service. The deal covers 400,000 square miles of U.S. aerial imagery.
