RealNetworks Shakes Up Executives

Seattle-based RealNetworks said late Tuesday that the firm has reorganized its operating structure, and promoted three of its executives. RealNetworks said that it has promoted John Giamatteo to Chief Operating Officer, Harold Zeitz to Chief Operating Officer of its Games Division, and appointed Mike Lunsford as Executive Vice President of its Strategic Ventures. The firm said the move is designed to "strengthen and bring together" its portfolio of digital entertainment services, and set the stage for an intended spinout of its games business. Giamatteo was most recently the firm's President, Technology Products & Services and International Operations; Lunsford has been an advisor to Real since January of 2008, having previously been at Earthlink; and Zeitz has been at Real since 2006 as its Senior Vice President of Media Software & Services.
