Open Interface Acquired By Qualcomm
Seattle-based Open Interface, a developer of Bluetooth software, has quietly been acquired by Qualcomm. The deal has not been announced, and financial terms have not been diclosed. Open Interface develops software development kits used in designing Bluetooth stereo headsets; the firm's technology, Soundabout Lossless, is targeted at improving the quality of streaming, Bluetooth stereo audio. The buy was first reported by CNET.
