Motricity Hires Marketing Chief

Bellevue-based mobile data software publisher Motricity reported today that it has hired Jim Ryan as chief strategy and marketing officer. The firm described Ryan as a mobile data industry pioneer who possesses more than 15 years of senior management experience. Motricity said Ryan is perhaps best known for his role as vice president of consumer data services with AT&T Mobility. Before AT&T, Motricity continued, he helped establish the European data services businesses of Sprint PCS and O2. Most recently, Motricity said, Ryan has consulted for early stage businesses wishing to profit from the global mobile data market.
