LumiThera Lands $5.5M
Seattle-based medical device startup LumiThera, which is developing medical devices to treat age-related macular degeneration (AMD), has raised $5.5M in a Series B funding round. The funding was led by WaterStone Capital, and also included RPR Ventures. WaterStone's Yigang Yang will join the company's board with the funding. LumiThera said ti will use the financing to support support obtaining regulatory clearances of its device outside the US, and also to und additional clinical and commercial activities.
