KenSci Connects With $8.5M To Apply Machine Learning To Health Care
Seattle-based KenSci, a spinout of the University of Washington (UW) Tacoma, which is using machine learning for predicting population health costs and prescribe care to patients, has raised $8.5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Ignition Partners, and also included Osage University Partners and Mindset Ventures. KenSci was also previously part of the Microsoft Accelerator, and uses Microsoft's Azure and Cortana software as part of its efforts. Samir Manjure is CEO and co-founder of KenSci.
