GMI Names Microsoft's Salazar Marketing Chief
Global Market Insite Inc., a provider of services for the market research industry, reported Tuesday that it has hired Luis J. Salazar as chief marketing officer. The Seattle-based company said Salazar hails from Microsoft Corp. where he spent the previous 11 years. Most recently, GMI noted, Salazar served as Microsoft's general manager for marketing and helped establish Microsoft Office Live. In addition to his role with GMI, Salazar advises portfolio companies and evaluates potential investments on behalf of Seattle IT venture firm Voyager Capital. He is also involved in several Seattle-area non-profit organizations.
