Geospiza Adds To Board

Seattle-based Geospiza, the developer of genetic analysis software, announced today that it has added Dr. Bruce Montgomery to its board of directors. Montgomery was most recently Senior Vice President of Respiratory Therapeutics at Gilead Sciences, and was also founder and CEO of Corus Pharmaceuticals, which he sold for over $365M to Gilead in 2006. Montgomery has also served at PathoGenesis, Genentech, and the University of California, San Francisco. Geospiza said the addition of Montgomery will help the firm as its extends its target markets from academic research to pharmaceutical research and development.
