Arzeda Adds $3.2M To Series A Funding
Seattle-based Arzeda, which is focused on protein design, metabolic bioengineering, and related protein engineering technology, has raised $3.2M more in funding, bringing the round it announced in July to $15.2M, the company said on Tuesday. According to Arzeda, new investors in the funding round included Universal Materials Incubator Co., Ltd. (UMI) and Casdin Capital, LLC. Earlier investors in the round included OS Fund, Bioeconomy Capital, Sustainable Conversion Ventures and WRF Capital. Arzeda said the new funding will go to expand its throughput capacity of its protein design platform and product development pipeline. As part of the funding, Arzeda said that Jeff Klunzinger of OS Fund has joined the company's board.
