Pirq Expands To San Francisco Bay Area
Kirkland-based Pirq, the developer of mobile dining deals apps headed by James Sun, said Tuesday that it has expanded its service to the San Francisco Bay Area. Pirq said it app will specifically roll out to employees at Apple Computer, offering up discounts of 20 to 50 percent off their bills at select restaurants in Cupertino, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View, California. Pirq said the expansion and deal comes thanks to discount provider Passport Unlimited, which is the sold discount provider for Apple's employees. Venture backed Pirq previously only offered its services in Seattle, where it now says it has over 150 restaurants signed up for the discount service. Pirq's apps run on both the iPhone and Android.
