    Zulily Unveils Children's Private Sale Site
    Seattle-based Zulily, the online private sale shopping site focused on children and busy moms, is officially launching its shopping site Wednesday, the firm said this evening. The site--which is backed by Maveron and headed by Blue Nile vets Darrell Caven and Blue Nile executive chairman and founder Mark Vadon--offers discounted prices on children's apparel, toys, gifts, and other products.     WTIA: Venture Capitalists Show Optimism On Revenues, Hiring
    The Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) has released its latest venture capital survey for first quarter 2010, showing that local venture capitalists are expecting to see moderately higher deal flow this quarter, with a significant amount believing their portfolio companies will see moderately better revenue growth this year.     Applied Technical Systems Gets $13M Order
    Seattle-based Applied Technical Systems, a firm providing data analysis for the military and other government agencies, said today that it has been awarded a $13M task order for the U.S. Navy. The firm said the firm will design, build and manage the Common Digital Sensor Architecture (CDSA) core system for the U.S. Navy's Above Water Sensors. ATS clients include the U.S. intelligence community, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and others.

    NetMotion Wireless Gets Patent
    Seattle-based NetMotion Wireless, a developer of mobile productivity software, said it has scored a U.S. Patent. According to the firm, it received U.S. Patent number 7,644,171, entitled "Mobile Networking System and Method Using IPv4 and IPv6", covering technology used by the firm to maintain secure mobile communications over mixed IPv4 and IPv6 networks.     INRIX Names Marketing Head
    Kirkland, Washington-based INRIX, a provider of traffic data and related services, said Monday that it has named Don Butler as the firm's new Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Planning. Butler joins the firm from OnStar. At OnStar--a subsidiary of GM--Butler had served as VP Planning and Business Development, Chairman and Managing Director at General Motors Egypt, and Executive Director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing, among other positions.

    PopCap To Pay $4.6M In Lawsuit
    Seattle-based PopCap Games has been ordered to pay $4.6M in a legal loss to former partner MumboJumbo, a developer of video games, according to MumboJumbo's legal counsel. According to civil litigation firm Rose Walker, MumboJumbo has won a legal battle against PopCap Games over breach of a 2006 contract, where MumboJumbo would produce, distribute, and sell certain PopCap games in North America.
