Mobcrush Takes $11M For Mobile Game Streaming
Santa Monica-based live game streaming startup Mobcrush has raised $11M in a Series A round, the company said Tuesday. The startup--led by Royce Disini--said the funding round was le dby Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and also included Raine Ventures, First Round Capital, Lowercase, Rincon Venture Partners, Crosscut Ventures and Advancit Capital. Mobcrush raised $4.9M in its seed funding round back in May. The company's mobile app lets users stream their video games to others, and also chat and watch other players. Mobcrush's app currently works on iOS and MacOS, with plans to expand to Android and Windows in the near future.
