Ivantis Adds $5M In Series B Funding

Irvine-based Ivantis, a developer of medical devices used to treat glaucoma, has raised $5M more in its Series B funding, the company said this morning. The company said the second close on its funding was led by EDBI of Singapore, and brings its total Series B funding to $32.5M. Ivantis develops a stent device which lowers eye pressure in patients with glaucoma. According to the company, the new funding will go towards supporting three, multinational clinical trials, and also go to support activity in the Asia Pacific market.
