Portland-based Iovation is announcing today that it has launched a new service, to help online businesses identify the website visitors who are most likely to be trustworthy. The firm said its new TrustScore product determines a visitor's trustworthiness, based on the online activity from the devices they are using. The firm said the new service is aimed at helping to reduce the manual reviews required for risky online transactions.
Pricing on the new service was not disclosed. iovation said the data can also be used to help determine which customers qualify for special offers or status. Iovation's services are used by online businesses to reduce the amount of online fraud on their sites, by tracking the reputation of devices being used by online consumers and flagging those that might be the source of fradulent transactions.
