Carpe Data Finds $6.6M

Santa Barbara-based Carpe Data, a new startup developing predictive data software for the insurance industry, has raised $6.6M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Aquiline Technology Growth (ATG). Carpe Data is led by Max Drucker. According to the company, the new funding will go towards sales and product development. Drucker was previously co-founder of Social Intelligence, and also co-founded Steel Card, an enterprise software company focused on software, which was sold to ChoicePoint in August of 2006.
