Amazon Ramping Content Efforts In LA
Technology's big names appear to be rushing to tap into the wealth of talent and creativity in Los Angeles, with the latest firm being online e-commerce giant Amazon.com. According to reports today, Amazon is looking to ramp its efforts in Los Angeles to develop original programming through its Amazon Studios initiatives. Based on a couple of recent job postings at Amazon.com, the company is looking to hire a positions geared at creating original programming for Amazon, based in Sherman Oaks, as part of the firm's People's Production Company. According to reports, and are expected to generate content for both online and traditional distribution. The technology world has been increasingly turning to the strength of the Los Angeles region, most visibly, YouTube with its push to publish original content channels, which has favored a new crop of original content developing startups in the LA area.
